The roof of the Guardroom is divided by moulded principals, which are visible below the plaster. The stone corbels supporting these arched principals are carved with figures of angels (similar to the Great Hall). Four of these corbels hold shields, one of which displays the instruments of the Passion. The other three have the arms of the see of Canterbury.
